Having a baby makes holidays so much more fun! Tim and I used to give each other a card and some Easter candy for Easter, but this year I knew we’d start the tradition of giving Olivia an Easter basket. I had so much fun picking stuff out, and even though she’s still so little this year, I was glad to start a new tradition.
After Olivia’s morning nap, we got her up and took her over to see her basket. I took a video while Tim showed her the items inside, and it was too cute; she actually looked at the items as we were showing them to her. It’s funny to see how much she has changed since Christmas when she wasn’t a month old yet and didn’t look at anything. After she opened her basket we got ready to go over to Tim’s parents house. I brought a few items and Tim’s step mom did the ham, which I think is essential to Easter. Before we left, though, I wanted to document our girl’s cute Easter outfit.
When we got to Tim’s parents house, his stepmom gave Olivia her third Easter basket! She was spoiled this year. It had a cute stuffed bunny, a few outfits, a sun hat, and a book in it. It was so sweet!
We enjoyed lunch with Tim’s parents before Olivia decided to get a little fussy. She’s going through the Wonder Weeks leap four, and it has been a little tough on her.
After a couple of hours we headed home and Olivia got to play with some of the balls from her Easter basket. We read Olivia and the Fairy Princesses, which I love. Monday we read the Easter egg book, and Olivia loved that one.
I hope you all had a wonderful Easter with your families! I can’t believe next year Olivia will be saying a few words and may be running around picking up eggs in a basket. That’s another tradition I look forward to starting with her!
