Hi, my name is Meghan, and you’re not going to recognize my training this week.
I swam three times.
I only ran twice.
I cut a couple of workouts short.
And that’s pretty much the abridged version of my training week. The next week coming up is my first step it up week, and I’m actually really excited about it. And because of that, I didn’t feel bad switching some things around this week.
Here are my workouts from last week:
Monday: Rest day…it always will be. It makes me LOVE Mondays.
Tuesday: I can NEVER remember Tuesday’s workouts and always have to check DailyMile. 1:15 on the trainer with 4 x 3:00 V02 max repeats with 3:00 active recovery between each. Warm up and cool down to hit the distance.
Wednesday: I skipped a run because my foot was feeling odd. I iced and took ibuprofen like a pro this week. Instead I swam 3100 yards with some speed drills, and I felt great!
Thursday: Rode the trainer with heart rate between 140-150 for 1:30 without stopping.
Friday: Ran 60 minutes and covered a little over 6.3 miles.
Saturday: Met Tori and rode 33 miles then met Beth and swam 2350 yards! It was a solid day of workouts, though I was supposed to ride another 30 minutes. Oh well.
Sunday: Iron Girl Clermont Sprint triathlon (1/2 mile swim, 12 mile bike, 3 mile run)! I was planning on using this as a tempo run and not pushing it, but when I got there and the adrenaline got going I ended up racing it. I decided not to run anymore afterwards, even though it’s what I had been thinking I’d do. And, spoiler alert, I won my age group!
This is short, sweet, and to the point. It wasn’t a great week, a blah week, or a week I really can put an adjective with. I’ll just leave it at the fact that it was a training week and I hit 100+ miles.
