I had another fantastic week of workouts and I feel great. I won’t lie and say I’m not more than a little excited for a complete rest day tomorrow. Because I used this past Monday’s rest day last Sunday, this was a very full week. Going through DailyMile, it appears also it’s the most time I’ve spent working out in one week all year. All this time off from school gives me the extra time to fit it all in.
Here are my workouts this week:
Monday: 2000 yards in the pool followed by 45 minutes on the stationary bike (still don’t own a trainer) and 20 minutes on the treadmill.
Tuesday: After my falls last Saturday, I was more shaken up than I had expected to be. I rode the mile+ to and from the bike shop and then spent time on the trainer there during the fitting. I didn’t put in the mileage on this one and just said I biked for 30 minutes.
Wednesday: I rode for 45 minutes on the Upper Tampa Bay Trail and then came home, changed into running shoes, and ran for 30 minutes in the neighborhood. I need to get a bike lock so I can transition and do a real brick run.
Thursday: This was a painful 2000 yards in the pool in the sense that I just didn’t want to do it and was dragging. I’ve probably not been happier than the moment I finished that in a long time. I don’t know why I felt like that!
Friday: I met up with Beth for a little over 20 miles in the early am. We rode the Clearwater Bridges and around Clearwater, and the lack of traffic made it so so nice.
Saturday: I met up with Tori for 38.75 miles at the Suncoast. I expected my legs to be tighter after bridges the day before, but they held on pretty well. That’s not to say I wasn’t super sore later in the day.
Sunday: I met up again with Tori for 35 minutes of running and an open water swim at Sand Key Bridge. We swam between lifeguard stands and I think I swam around 1900-2000 yards total. I wore my new triathlon kit from MooMotion Sports to test it out.
My first triathlon is in 13 days! How exciting!
