My weekend was everything I hoped it would be and more. It consisted of a lot of resting and running, without other stuff to get in the way. Therefore, I don’t have a weekend recap in the traditional sense. I do have a few high points worth mentioning:
1. Premier Protein.
I wrote about receiving a fun package from the company on Friday. I stuck the shakes in the fridge and told myself I’d drink one after my long run on Saturday. I have to admit, though, I was nervous. I have never liked the powders mixed straight with water, and I was afraid this would taste protein-y. It really didn’t. It tasted almost exactly like chocolate milk! But it has 30g of protein (which is actually more than a female can absorb in one serving) with 160 calories and 1 gram of carbs. It was a lot easier to drink than the shakes I normally have, and it didn’t give me the stomach ache that the shakes do. I will absolutely be buying these again. Even though these were free, I will be a repeat customer and will pay for my own product. I will probably buy the smaller snack size that only has 16g of protein, as that’s more along the lines of what our (female) bodies can absorb.
2. This happened.
It was pretty set that Alabama was going to lose the game; McCarron had a terrible game, and nothing was going Alabama’s way. There was about 1:45 left, and magic happened. I’ve never seen a game finish like it. Alabama somehow pulled out a win. Roll Tide!
3. I voted (and you should too).
Whether or not you’re strongly opinionated politically, you should go vote tomorrow if you haven’t yet! I’m not going to try to tell you who to vote for, but I will tell you to go do it! It’s your right and responsibility as an American citizen, and to have a say in how the future will be handled, you should fulfill that obligation! So go do it tomorrow. Both Barack Obama and Mitt Romney’s websites will either tell you where your polling place is or link to the website to find it out.
And now I’m left wondering what has happened to the sun. It seems that it is setting earlier but rising around the same time. I can’t figure out how that happened…
A few questions for you:
How did your team/s do this weekend?
Did you vote early? Are you going to vote?
