Thank you all so so much for the birthday wishes on the blog, twitter, and instagram. I was blown away by all the love. I did everything I said I was going to do: drank free coffee, smiled a lot, and walked around with a larger than normal grin. It was a great day, and I appreciated all the attention at school and at home. I don’t think I could handle it all the time, so it’s a good thing birthdays only come around once per year.
To work, I wore a sparkly outfit that I didn’t snap any photos of, but I’ll put it back on and photo it in the next few days. After coming home and throwing on running clothes for a quick 3-miler, I decided to put together a nice outfit and do my hair and a little makeup for our sushi dinner.
The dress is super old ModCloth, the sweater is from Old Navy and no longer available, and I threw on my new Tory Burch Revas.
The run was at 9:10 per mile pace and outside, and while it was a bit uncomfortable, it was under 9:15 per mile! Hallelujah. I worked my little butt off to make the birthday run a good one. And when I got home I found out that Tim had bought me a cookie cake as a surprise. I love having a birthday cake, but I didn’t request one this year. I was so thrilled that he remembered and picked one up. And it’s purple, of course!
We got a picture at sushi, but it is quite possibly the most washed out picture I’ve ever seen of us both so I’ll spare you for now. And I felt spoiled with gifts. Tim gave me a surprise gift that I hadn’t asked for: the new Kindle Fire 7″ HD! It’s awesome, and I’ve already had so much fun playing on it.
