Dear Friday, I’m glad to see you this week. There’s nothing like Friday to make everyone feel good. Do you brag about it with Monday sometimes? I would. Dear Run Disney, I am so appreciative of the ease of which you allowed me to defer my 10-miler I was supposed to do in three weeks to the marathon. Your races are so expensive that I’m glad I didn’t have to just give up the money. Dear Marathon Medal, I usually run for the bling (and of course personal pride and accomplishment), but I have to say that you’re kind of getting a backseat in my heart this year to that course map. Sorry. I’m sure my love for you will grow in the coming months. Dear Disney Marathon Course Designer, thank you! After the marathon relay and Wine and Dine last year, there is only so much Disney freeway I can take in a race. The fact that we never go more than a couple of miles between parks or things to do makes me endlessly happy. Dear training plan, you are intimidating, and I’m only doing Hal Higdon Novice 1 (more on that later). Wow. I need to start finding some races to tack onto those long double digit runs that will make the time pass more quickly.
Dear Alabama Football, Roll tide! Let’s keep it up! Dear USF Football, You too! I’d like to keep winning past game five this year. Dear Ulta, Thank you for (hopefully) delivering my stylenomics polish today so that I can have green nails for the game tomorrow. That is, after all, why I ordered it!
Dear Tim, I can assure you part of the reason I’m so crankly lately is because I’ve been unable to workout since August 7th. Do you know what that does to someone? I love you!
