I enjoy watching the Oscar’s not because I care so much who wins the awards but more to see who wears what. Last night on the red carpet there were quite a few amazing looks, including the hair of Reese Witherspoon, Mila Kunis’s violet Elie Saab number, the feather donned Gucci gown of Hilary Swank, and Sandra Bullock’s fiery red Vera Wang dress. My favorite dresses to see, however, were those of host Anne Hathaway. While I sat nervously watching the performance of she and James Franco, I was awed every single time her dress and hair changed. I, personally, thought she looked stunning in every single look in which she appeared. Here’s a rundown.
Her red carpet look was Valentino, and it was my favorite of the night.
Her entry look was Givenchy Haute Couture by Riccardo Tisci dress with Tiffany jewels. This is when I was the most nervous, as was she as she continuously rubbed the texturing on the front of her dress.
I love how feminine she made this menswear look seem with her Brian Atwood heels and Tiffany jewelry. Of course the fact that it was custom by Lanvin didn’t hurt at all either.
This Vivienne Westwood corseted couture gown was my least favorite of the night, but if this is your worst look I think you’re doing pretty well.
I loved the silver tassels of this Oscar de la Renta number, and she seemed to love it herself. I thought her swinging and dancing around in it was so cute, and it seemed to be an honest and unscripted moment.
This look was flawless. Her hair, makeup, and Atelier Versace dress were all breath-taking.
I liked this look, although my boyfriend had a different opinion. Was this a Man Repelling look, or no? It is Giorgio Armani Prive.
This look was one of Tom Ford’s first Oscar dresses, as he only recently began a women’s line.
I’ll take any of them. Which was your favorite? What other looks topped your list?
I’ve added to my bucket list the need to have my hair done 8 different ways in one night with less than 5 minute transitions.
